Watering

As a general guideline:
– Spring & Autumn: once a week
– Summer: every 5 days
– Winter: every 10 days
Always check that the growing medium has dried before watering again. Healthy roots appear green after watering and turn silvery-grey when they are ready for more water.
Humidity
As a tropical plant, orchids appreciate moderate to high humidity. Lightly mist the leaves in the morning, particularly during hot summer days or in winter when indoor heating makes the air dry.
Fertilizing
Feed your orchid with a balanced fertilizer specially formulated for orchids.
– During the growing season: every 2 weeks
– During flowering: once a month
– During winter: fertilize sparingly or not at all
Liquid, water-soluble fertilizers are recommended and are best applied during watering.
