The basil blooms from June to October. It is transplanted in April – May. It does not need much care. It just needs light, without being exposed directly to the sun, which withers its leaves. It loves cool soil, so it should be watered, especially in summer, on a daily basis.
To prolong its life, cut its flowers. Also, when collecting leaves for consumption, it is best to trim the tops so that the lateral shoots grow.
